The Jaxon & James Hat Stretcher is made from wood and metal. This product protects your hat investment by maintaining the hat’s size by preventing shrinkage. It is great for both felt and straw hats. Never wear a pinching hat again!

Manufacturer Instructions for Use:

To Store Hat:

1. Lay the Wooden Hat Jack Stretcher on a flat surface, logos up.
2. Twist the center handle to approximate the hat size.
3. Place it in the hat, logos up, with the center handle parallel to the crease in the hat crown.
4. Twist the center handle to achieve a snug fit – the hat is ready for storage.

   ***Always rest hat on its crown, brim up.***

To Increase Hat Size:

1. Repeat above steps.
2. Boil clean water using a teapot or pan with lid slightly ajar, then reduce heat to produce a steady flow of steam.
3. Holding Wooden Hat Jack Stretcher handle, direct steam evenly to outside of hat band area.
4. Twist handle to stretch hat to desired size while applying steam.

   ***Do NOT overstretch any hat 1.5cm maximum)***

5. Allow hat to cool and dry 20-30 minutes before removing Hat Jack.
6. Repeat if hat shrinks until hat maintains desired size and fit.

Large – Stretch range: 60cm and up
